Otto Monnig Piccolo

A non engraved piccolo that probably could be made
by Otto Mönnig as it came in this case.
Beautiful ivoroid head and nickel plated keywork.
I think it to be a french instrument though a genuine
reform head made by Otto Mönnig came with it as an
extra but it did not fit onto this body.

The head of the Otto Mönnig piccolo where you
can clearly see the use of ivoroid.

A detail of the Otto Mönnig piccolo.
This instrument came in an all original Otto Mönnig case.
As this instrument hasn't got any engravings it can be
doubted that it is a Mönnig piccolo. A very fine and
nicely built instrument anyway but possibly of
French origin.
