Eugene Albert Silver Flute 1

EUGENE ALBERT SILVER FLUTE
By clicking on this picture you can take a closer look
at the beautiful engraved lipplate. Note the strange use 
of cork at the joints due to the clarinet background
of this builder. Can be dated around 1855.

I have a flute that was my fathers the only markings on it are Albert monnig Markneuikirchen Germany. It was purches used about 1936 it is in org case blk on outside of case with key lock/ blue on inside. Can you tell me alittle about this flute and what it might be worth?

The Mönnig dynasty is a very well known one in Germany. You can check some german flute sites to find out more about Mönnig.
